संख्याविद की समाधी!

एक बार एक संख्याविद किसि नदी किनारे पंहुचा. वहाँ लोगों को दूसरे पार पंहुचाने के लिये नाव चल रही थी. लेकिन संख्याविद साहब ने ध्यान से देखा, नाद खेने के प्रयुक्त्त “लग्गा” तो पानी में डूब हीं नहीं रहा है! उन्होंने “मुर्ख” नाविक से नदी में जगह जगह पर गहराई मापने के लिये कहा. जैसा कि संख्याविद को उम्मीद थी, औसत गहराई संख्याविद के कमर तक हीं थी!

संख्याविद पैदल हीं नदी पार करने चल परे!

वो कहाँ पंहुचेंगे आप सबको अच्छी तरह पता है!

वो हमें कहाँ पन्हुचायेगा?

Statistician's graveyard - commonsense!

Once a statistician reached to a river bank. Boats were ferrying people across the river. But the statistician observed that the bamboo stick with which the boats were pushed, were most of the time not deep enough in water! He requested the "fool" rowing the boat to measure the depth at various distances across the river. As per the statistician's expectations, the average depth of water was hardly coming up to the height of the waist of the statistician. So he decided to cross the river walking!
I know you all can guess where will the statistician go!
Rather where will he take all of us!

मन कि माला

जब भी मन कि माला फेरी, मर्यादा ने आँख तरेरी

परम्परा के लश्कर जागे, गूंजी अम्बर तक रण - भेरी

जिनको है स्वीकार सदा से तालाबों में घिरकर जीना

वो क्या जाने क्या होता है झरनों का पावन जल पीना

आँखों में आकाश सजाना बाहों में बादल भर लेना

कस्तूरी के लिये मचलकर खुद को ही पागल कर लेना

सूरज के संग जगने सोने वाले कैसे जान सकेंगे

मतवालों की इस महफ़िल में किसी जल्दी किसी देरी

जो देखा है सूरदास ने आँखों वाले क्या देखेंगे

जो महसूस किया मीरा ने ज्ञानि – ध्यानी क्या सोचेंगे

दीवानों की इस बस्ती में कैसा पाना कैसा खोना

आसमान की चादर की ओढी धरती का कर दिया बिछौना

जिसने अपने को पहचाना जिसको मन का मिला खजाना

दुनिया भर की दौलत उसके आगे है मिटटी की ढेरी

जब भी मन कि माला फेरी .....

ईश्वर की आँखों से छलके होंगे सूरज – चन्दा - तारे

मुस्कानों के पीछे छुपकर बैठे हैं दो आंसू सारे

स्वर्ण - पत्र पर खुदवाई कितनों ने अपनी यश गाथाएं

काल जयी होने की धुन में बदली सारी परिभाषाएँ

पर वो ही जीवित रह पाया जिसने आंसू को दुहराया

अपने मन के भोज पत्र पर मन की सच्ची पीर उकेरी

Contemporary Mainstream Political parties in India: All Having Same Disease

Though it might be imperfect to some but we have three national political parties Indian National Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party and Communists. At present every group seem to be infected with at least one common disease – not able to strike balance between their original principles/ dreams to the present day mass and their expectations.


in addition they are having their specific problems like -
Congress - Corruption
BJP - Has to compete with parties/ people who serve Hindus without declaring! Could not come out/ still has confusion over need to come out of the religious fantasy!
Communists - Never understood the Indian mass at large. Not able to understand Marx in Indian context!

HYMN CXXIX. Creation.

1. THEN was not non-existent nor existent: there was no realm of air, no sky beyond it.
What covered in, and where? and what gave shelter? Was water there, unfathomed depth of water?
2 Death was not then, nor was there aught immortal: no sign was there, the day's and night's divider.
That One Thing, breathless, breathed by its own nature: apart from it was nothing whatsoever.
3 Darkness there was: at first concealed in darkness this All was indiscriminate chaos.
All that existed then was void and form less: by the great power of Warmth was born that Unit.
4 Thereafter rose the Desire in the beginning, Desire, the primal seed and germ of Spirit.
Sages who searched with their heart's thought discovered the existent's kinship in the non-existent.
5 Transversely was their severing line extended: what was above it then, and what below it?
There were begetters, there were mighty forces, free action here and energy up yonder
6 Who verily knows and who can here declare it, whence it was born and whence comes this creation?
The Gods are later than this world's production. Who knows then whence it first came into being?
7 He, the first origin of this creation, whether he formed it all or did not form it,
Whose eye controls this world in highest heaven, he verily knows it, or perhaps he knows not.

Mehrgarh

Mehrgarh one of the most important Neolithic (7000 BCE to c. 2500 BCE) sites in archaeology, lies on "Kachi plain" of today's Balochistan, Pakistan. It is one of the earliest sites with evidence of farming (wheat and barley) and herding (cattle, sheep and goats) in South Asia.".

Mehrgarh is located near the Bolan Pass, to the west of the Indus River valley and between the present-day Pakistani cities of Quetta, Kalat and Sibi. The earliest settlement at Mehrgarh—in the northeast corner of the 495-acre (2.00 km²) site—was a small farming village dated between 7000 BCE to 5500 BCE.

Mehrgarh is now seen as a precursor to the Indus Valley Civilization.

How to fight corruption

Corruption is not a recent phenomenon. As mentioned by Kautaliya, it comes due to autocracy of the government officials! So, Kautaliya has written "it a very difficult to find a royal employee to not to be corrupt!" He says to control that the king should have special intelligence persons; and the official should be removed from job on any complaint till he is proved not to be guilty. Kautaliya has not suggested any punishment for those who may complaint against the government official wrongly! That was the way in ancient times corruption was under control! But later we have been ruled most of the times by the foreigner's/ invaders' or the people who were not interested in the mass! Naturally those people were just concerned about only their tax collection and not of people's problems and so corruption slowly came deeper and deeper in our society and blood. So much so that in folk song which are thousands of years old, we can see the corrupt methods, bribery, high handedness . . . At present, to remove corruption only following measures can help - (1) first of all people will have to elect honest representatives. Election commission should be authorized to cancel the nomination of those and their first degree relatives if someone has any complaint against him/ her about corruption regarding public money/ property. (2) Vigilance department should be headed by intelligence persons - and whole department should be maintained secretly! (3) Any deposition before any government agency like CBI, police . . . in any condition should be final and no hearing in any court should allowed on that deposition! (4) To prove that someone is not guilty, should be his responsibility - to prove the guilt should not be required to remove some one from the job! (5) If any corruption is unearthed in any office, all the people concerned who were aware about the activity should be punished (so that those around the corrupt people will feel the responsibility to report the ongoing corruption). (6) If report of corruption is found true that official should be awarded with life term rigorous imprisonment and all his properties should be taken over by the government. He must lose the job on complaint! Many more things can be added . . . But these are basics . . . . Without these the fight against corruption will remain on the road or at the most on the paper. Anna Hazare should change the track and demand the law to not to allow the people with corruption charges, proved or unproved, to fight the elections! He should also invite all the people with like minds like Baba Ramdeo . . . if they are not just show biz doing the lip services! . . . getting some extra official for some thing is not going to have any control on corruption. We need to start clearing from the top - thats parliament! Jai Hind!
