Rajarappa and Me

Rajarappa is one of the 12 Shakti peeths in India. parts of the burnt body of Shail Putri (daughter of King Himalaya who had married lord shiva and reached her fathers's house uninvited and had burnt herself when felt insulted) had fallen on these 12 places while lord shiva was doing "tandav" holding his wife's body on his two hands. Rajarappa is geographicaly located in a fantastic place where two rivers - Damodar and one more- i don't know the name meet. It is a water fall actualy and some one said that this is the only place where a female river falls in to a male river! the temple is having a dejeted apearance- reminding the situation of the administartion and the socioeconomic status of the people aaround/ in the state. if it would have been in any other state, it would have become famous as vaishno devi, kali mandir in kolkata . . . . i have been an aethist . . . .in my child hood, i used to half kill the ants and used to chalange the "god" to protect that if he can! and invariably god used to fail to protect those ants . . . .so many died due to my aggression! in the same line in 2001 when i visited the place for the first and the last time till now, i had thrown a chalange to devi. I had a ganglion (inflammatory swelling from the membrane which covers the bones around the joints) on my wrist. some times it becomes painful- any way it looks awkward! it can only be treated surgicaly . . . .I thought in my mind- fine if devi exists my swelling should subside- as in my opinion it can't happen. But surprisingly by the time i came to Ramgarh, it had disapeared! this time god haas won! by default or by rule . . . . I have thought in my mind that i will organise medical camps whenevr i can at that location! if some one of you is from there pleasae comeforward to help me . . .. Dr. Manish Kumar

Cheap Politics: An All India Phenomenon

Its sad that people of AB stature are targeted like this. This also makes possible to guess the poor condition of the people at lower socio- economico- political level . . . . But is there any hope? Is it not that this has become the fate of our middle class/ non politician masses - until unless he/ she has political protection? Including foreign guest like taslima nasareen- just for politics! Tamilandu, Karnataka, Maharashtra and even the state like west bengal feel that every one in this country is trying to take away their bread! Then people in northern India hindi heartland are suffering from caste mania! They are still in the shell and not able to think out of that and the politicians enjoy that. other states like gujarat the condition of religious minority- i don't know i have not been there and if talk just because others say, my neighbour who makes good sweats may kill me!Altogether its a poor state of affairs. The reason being that for centuries we have been ruled by people not concerned with us! Earlier they were foreigners, now even these our own people turned politicians have learnt the same lesson- they do what is beneficial for them without bothering for us. We need some rama, some chandragupta/ chanakya combine, akbar or gandhi to keep us united! any one around? if no, wait for me . . . . .
